Why do you choose to follow a paleo diet?
A couple of years ago, I was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome. After doing a bunch of research on the disease and the best ways to treat it, I decided to change my diet rather than take medication. It was an easy change for me since I'm a registered dietitian and have a private nutrition practice in "real life." If you want to know more about my battle with PCOS, read this post. Thanks to paleo, I've been symptom-free for a year.
How did you get into salsa dancing?
I tore my ACL in 2007 and needed to have reconstructive surgery and physical therapy for my knee. At the end of my last physical therapy appointment, I asked my therapist what he suggested to do to continue to strengthen my knee. He said dance, so I did...at a studio near my house. Once I started dancing, I lost 85 pounds and started traveling to dance conferences. It was at one of these that I met my husband.
What kind of camera do you have?
When I first started this blog, I shot with a white Pentax K-X and two lenses: the 18-55mm kit lens and a 50mm f1.4. Since then, I've started my own photography business and have upgraded my equipment. Right now, I have the Canon 5D and three lenses: 50mm f1.2, 24mm f1.4 and 70-200mm f/2.8. If you're a new photographer, too, I suggest taking Oh Shoot! with Candice Stringham. It's a great online photography class and has really improved both my understanding of the camera and my technique I use to take pictures.
Can I repost your photos on my blog?
Of course! I don't know why you would want to though because they're only rarely good, but if you see something you like, knock yourself out! Feel free to grab what you need. All I ask is that you give me credit and link the pictures back to the post from which they came.
Would you put me on your Daily Reads list?
I'm always looking for new blogs to read. All you have to do is send your URL to danfredorivera[at]gmail.com with "DAILY READS SUBMISSION" in the subject line. I'll be happy to link you up if: One. You've been blogging regularly for at least three months. Two. Your stuff is your own and/or you link to where you found things.
Could you do a guest post or interview on my blog?
If my schedule allows it, sure! Just keep in mind that I'm planning a wedding right now and that takes up 39485702345897 hours of my week. If it's something I can work on relatively quickly, we're good money. Again, email me.
Can I advertise on your blog?
