Brows For A Bride

I'm getting married in 88 days. The pressure is on and my anxiety is building, but not in anticipation of having to figure out my seating chart...I'm worried about my eyebrows.

I mentioned in "A Personal Note" that I don't have eyebrows. Well, I've been having nightmares about how they will look on our wedding day. Will they be drawn in correctly? How will they come out in pictures? Will Wil accidentally take them off during our first dance?

These are all very real concerns for me and they (amongst others) caused me to take very drastic measures. After four years of not having eyebrows, I finally got some tattooed.

I was nervous in the days leading up to my trip to the salon (you can see that video here), but the experience wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. I'm absolutely THRILLED with the results! I'm still super swollen and have to go back for a touch-up in a month, but this experience has been life-changing for me.

I can go in a pool, go to the beach or get a chair massage after a manicure, all without having to worry about losing part of my face in the process! I can lay on Wil's chest while watching a movie, look him in the eye if I don't have make-up on, sleep on our "good" pillowcases and dance without worry. I don't have to worry about having a "good eyebrow day" on my wedding day because every day will be a good eyebrow day from this day forward. I will be a beautiful bride.

Here's a video from when the aesthetician showed me my brows for the first time. Make sure you have some tissues handy. For those of you who are still curious about how my new brows look, I'll be posting more pictures once I'm completely healed.
