We Love Photobooths

Wedding planning is a dangerous thing in that it's ongoing. With every wedding blog I browse and bridal magazine I flip through, in pop 23948572345 ideas to my baby brain.

At this point, I've practically forgotten my theme and I'm going to have to get married every day for the rest of my life in order to include everything I must have present for our nuptials.

One thing that I've always wanted at our wedding reception is a photo booth. After we got engaged, Facebook started showing me a million ads for wedding-related products and services. We Love Photobooths was one of the advertisements that popped up in my side bar and I clicked on it...and I fell in love.

I know...adorable, right?! This has absolutely NOTHING to do with our theme, but I NEED it at our wedding. I have the right equipment and I'm sure I can figure out how to rig up an awesome backdrop. And the props, pfft, piece of cake! There's only one problem: I'm worried about my fancy pants camera stuff.

It's not like I'm worried about anyone mishandling the goods; I know that our family and friends will treat everything at the photo booth station with care and respect. What I am worried about is:

One. Someone accidentally walking off with the camera remote.
Two. Me, accidentally leaving my crap at the reception hall.

It's very likely that one of those things will happen if no one is minding the camera. Here's the thing, I know I'm not going to be able to babysit my stuff and I really don't want to designate a family member to stay glued to the photo booth. Then I had a bright idea: Why don't I ask one of my friends (who's not already invited to the wedding) to hold down the photo booth fort?!

It may seem a bit rude, but hey, we couldn't afford to have everyone we love and care about come to the reception. I'm sure we could squeeze in ONE more person into our party site and I'd much rather that one person be a friend than some college kid I hire off of Craigslist. So I'm asking, does anyone want to come to our reception to babysit our camera equipment?!

It's not like you're going to have to sit with the thing the entire night. I just want someone to hold the remote while people aren't using the camera, keep an eye on the station and be responsible for packing up the equipment at the end of the night (and making sure it gets to my mom). I'll feed you and you'll be able to say you were in attendance at the wedding of the century! Whaddaya say?! Don't all jump up at once.

My sister just got married, and had a friend (who wasn't originally invited) to do the photo booth, and they were overjoyed! It's a really great idea! She also made her own backdrop using bold colorful striped curtains with big paper flowers pinned to the curtain. It looked pretty professional and sweet, even though it was super DIY!
