Second Date

My bridal bouquet...kinda.
A couple of weeks ago, I went on a field trip with mama dukes to visit a couple of florists for our wedding. I had my second date with Lisa at Wild Orchid yesterday and I'm super happy with the direction in which this relationship is headed.

I decided to use vendella and charming unique roses in my bouquet after seeing the gorgeous arrangement during a Google Image search. Lucky for me, I'm fun-sized...what should be a $43520345 arrangement is going to cost me next to nothing because it's going to be so small. Besides, I think I'd look silly carrying a bunch of flowers that's 1/6th my body weight, don't you?

Wil and I (okay, just I) wanted tall centerpieces for the tables at our reception, but when I had asked about them and found out the, yeah. No. Hell no.

Imagine WAAAAAY more pink.
So, I went into the shop yesterday prepared to pick out low centerpieces when I saw a pretty, tall centerpiece sitting on the table, taunting me. Even though Lisa had already told me the tall pieces were out of my price range, I asked about the arrangement.

Good thing I did, because that whole situation to your left was only a couple bucks more than the low one..."we" decided to pay the difference and get what we liked.

I'm going back in two weeks to see a sample bouquet and centerpiece and I'm stoked! I'm curious y'all think the centerpiece is pretty enough on its own or should we throw some candles around there, too?

Hey kuzzo! I love the centerpiece that you're going to use. If you want to add a touch of something, I think that candles will be your best option. It will set a great ambiance considering how romantic the two of you are lol. At the end of the day, it's your decision. :-) I can't wait to see what you chose!

Hi agree with Linnette.. If you are going to add anything else to it I would also say candles or some type of romantic lighting for effect a round or even inside the vase.
I am so going to look forward to seeing the 123456 pics you will share with us of your big day.

I would go with plastic ice...there clearly isn't enough of that

I agree with everyone about the candles or maybe some medium size lanterns I recently went to my Boss's wedding and they had a tall centerpiece similar to what you are going to have and they had these medium size lanterns on each side of the table. The candle light worked well when it reflected on the glass!
