The One That Got Away

Last week, I had mentioned on Facebook and Twitter that I had fallen in love with another dress that I accidentally found at 3:00 am. There it is.

What's not to love, right? Well, for starters: the price. Yeah, that's something not to love. Oh, and how about the fact that I already ordered my veil and it's ivory (the dress is white).

I almost forgot to mention that I already have my dress and would have to sell mine before I had enough cash (and it still wouldn't be enough) to pay for this thing.

As pretty as this dress is and as AMAZING as I think I would look in it, I think I'm going to stick with what I already have. My wedding gown is gorgeous and I honestly feel silly for having doubted its gorgeousness in the first place.

It's just that when I bought the dress, the wedding we had in mind was very small and simple; the dress is a fabric representation of that vision. Now that it's become a living, breathing thing, I started thinking that my dress wasn't fancy enough for the occasion. I've had a couple days to think about it (and a couple bottles of wine) and have decided to stick with my original choice. It's pretty, it's me and it's NOT going to disappoint you! That, and I'm really too broke to do anything about it! Only one hundred thirty-five days and counting, folks.

Keep in mind, you never know if that dress would have been what you imagined once you put it on. I'm not saying it wouldn't have looked FAB on you, cause it would have, but you might not have liked it as much ON as you did online or on the hanger. Nah mean? That's how I felt about a few dresses. Your first choice is most likely the 100% right choice. Don't second guess it!
