Maestro De Kung Fu (1976)
Okay, I think I've mentioned about 298375402398574 times that Wil and I are dancers. People who aren't in the salsa scene are always asking me questions about our dancing. Where do you do it? Who do you dance with? Is it, like, a performance? When I say that we go out social dancing at various ballrooms in New York City, people just look back at me with a deer-in-headlights expression.

With that being said, I decided that I'm going to add a little feature to this blog called SALSA SUNDAY. Wil and I are going to dance a little bit to some really awesome old school salsa songs each week. If you have any requests, please drop me a line. For my dancer friends, if you see anything in these turn patterns that you want to ask us about, drop us a line about that, too. If this feature takes off the way I'm hoping, I'm going to invite some guest living room dancers to submit videos in the future. Maybe I'm getting ahead of myself, but I can't help it...I'm excited!

This week's song is "La Suerte" by Chino Rodriguez Y La ConsagraciĆ³n from the album Maestro De Kung Fu (1976). Please don't judge our dancing too much this week. We recorded this piece as we were running out the door to the Jimmy Anton Social and I was spinning on carpet...not easy when you have a stupid knee. Well, I really hope you like this, guys. Enjoy!
