Salute Your Shorts

Hello, Blogger! It's a beautiful Saturday morning and I have the wedding back on the brain. I was tidying up my room this morning and happened to glance at both my wedding dresses (ceremony and reception) hibernating in the corner. I haven't looked at them or tried them on in a while, so with Wil busy looking at NBA highlights in the other room, I obliged myself. Good thing that I did because it brought to light a major issue: What the hell do I wear to contain my tatas and tuckus?!

I've heard a lot of women talk about Spanx products, but I'm skeptical. Can a little Lycra really keep all my lady bits in place? So scared. I honestly have no idea about these things and am looking for any and all advice you can give me about my undergarments.

I guess you all need to know a little bit about my dresses before you can send me suggestions, so here we go: 1. The ceremony dress is long and strapless. 2. The reception dress is short and strapless.

I know that's not much information, but I don't want to give away too many details about my getup. Ladies, what are your suggestions? Have you used Spanx? Where can I try them on? Is there a better product out there that I don't even know about?! Please help, I suck at this stuff.

Girl, get you some Lycra and make it happen!! No reason for others to get to see your lady parts giggle for free, even if it is your wedding day, lol!!

Believe it or not, I'm not the person to ask about this. My tits/ass have their own gravitational orbit, so if I can't wear a bra with it or if it doesn't have some sort of built-in structure, it ain't happening. lmao. I've heard good things from people about spanx though, so I think they're a safe bet. If you want more than that, maybe you could try some type of corset, too? Even if you didn't get a heavily boned one for long-term comfort reasons, they make really cute ones in a range of varied boning strengths, and that'll really exaggerate your shape.

They sell them in Steinmart and in Caché. They also make a lower priced version in Target...same company, lower price.

Spanx are awesome. I actually have some of the Spanx clothing. They're WAY cool. I have two Spanx pencil skirts (brown and black). The slip/lining is a Spanx material and makes me look looooong and lean when I wear one.

But like I said, they sell a lower-priced version in Target. Check them out.
